Fashion Design Portfolio Requirements
Do you dream of seeing your art alive in the world and building a rewarding career in fashion? At ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, our Fashion Design major (led by Project Runway Season16 winner, Kentaro Kameyama) dares you to be bold, innovative, and experimental.
Requirements
Your examples of artwork must include:
- Three to five design sketches.
- At least one original design. This could be a garment you have made or something you have designed that someone else made for you. Examples could include street wear and/or any design of yours that has ever been on stage: costuming, fashion, school mascot, something for an event, etc.
Helpful tips for a successful portfolio:
- Images of pieces must be lit adequately and evenly.
- Images of pieces must be photographed “straight on.â€
- Drawings must be flat and clean, and the page must fill the whole screen (no torn edges)
- Images must be clear and in focus.
- Suggested format: in a Word document, PowerPoint, or similar format, including one image per page with the information beneath each image.

Submission Guidelines
Submissions should be uploaded to a file sharing/hosting site such as Google Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, Vimeo, etc. Copy and paste the link(s) to your submission(s) in your application in the relevant field. Please be sure to set your permissions to allow us to view your files.
For those submitting several works, please either combine them all into a single file (such as a PDF or Powerpoint) or add them all to a folder in your chosen file hosting site and submit the link to the folder rather than submitting links to each item individually.
